About Us

Truan Pennell was born and raised in Tauranga and has over 25 years’ experience in the building industry, gaining qualifications first in joinery and then in carpentry. He has spent time working on Norfolk Island and in England over the years before returning home to New Zealand to raise a family in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Truan is the person you deal with throughout the build process, from initial discussions to quoting to swinging the hammer.

Karla Pennell is the other half of this successful business. She is responsible for the day to day running of the office, health and safety, HR, marketing and accounts. Karla is the person that you will deal with regarding contracts, invoicing and general enquiries. When not in the office she is often found in her other role of mother (and taxi driver!) of the couple’s three school age children.
